We’re Stefanie and Richard, travel bloggers who live in Alaska. We are not full-time travelers or aspire to make our living as travel bloggers. We’re empty nesters with full-time day jobs who also love to travel whenever we get the chance. We’re not budget travelers, or luxury travelers, we strive to see the world on a reasonable budget, one trip at a time, living more like locals than tourists. We hope that our blog will help you to plan your next getaway. We share practical information about destinations we’ve been to, activities both touristy and off the beaten path, as well as budget and lodging options including hotels, Airbnb and our experiences with home exchange.
Stefanie – I’m a lover of travel, and I especially love to plan trips. Sometimes I think that the planning and researching is as good as the actual travel, well almost. I love a mix of relaxation, adventure, history, culture, education, beautiful photographs and food and drink. Did I mention I love food and drink? I love touristy places, off the beaten path, and everything in between.
Richard – I love seeing everything there is to see anywhere we go. Relaxation is not actually part of my vocabulary and Stefanie and I go our separate ways for part of a day because she enjoys more down time than me. I love nature, wildlife, hiking, museums, historical locations, architecture, and if there is cheese involved even better.
